Oh I wish I knew about last nights game, I would have come 😊.
What time is your final tomorrow?
I hope it goes well Tim. It's amazing that you've managed to play 8 games of ice hockey. I love that you got back there but I love even more than you listen to your body when it's telling you it needs rest. It's a very important skill and one that may just keep you playing the game you love well into the future 💙.
Have very much enjoyed our last few walks and talks at R4R.
It would have been so good to have spectators, but the rink has banned any spectators from all sports for over two years now 😔 The rink manager even kick out children of players on Friday.
They have scheduled the final for 8:45pm, maybe to disincentivise people from coming to watch 😞
Thanks Clare - I totally agree. Sometimes it is definitely head and heart, but ultimately I have to keep my long term health as first priority, even if that means missing out on things right now for something better in the long run.
Me too! I am so glad we’ve had the chance to catch up at R4R. I look forward to our next walk and talk!
Oh my goodness! What!? What is sport without supporters. Why are the brave allowed to have spectators but local hockey isn't?
How many people can you have on your medical team?
That's so sad, I have heard about the rink manager though. The new rink can't come soon enough. If there is a possibility to come tonight let me know, Id love to come and be the "first aider"
Scrap that Clare — it looks like Ice Hockey ACT have convinced the rink to allow spectators for the final this afternoon. Although the rink is charging $5 at the door.
Yeah — it so destructive to community building and I just can't make sense of it.
Haha, I wonder if it one of those situations where you just need a high vis vest and a ladder?
You could definitely give it a go. Jess came on Friday but he was exceptionally rude to her and confrontational. Fortunately someone stepped in and said she was the score-keeper. I feel like we'd be pushing our luck though :(
